Another term completed means another batch of truly amazing artwork from the students of John Brown’s Sculpture 1 course.
Though some have never touched a brick of clay in their life, talent obviously transcends inexperience. These men and women were born to create, and the confluence of their passion and sculptural savvy manifests itself prominently in their work. Sadly (at least for those of us championing traditional clay sculpture) most will go on to sculpt digitally, either for the movies or gaming studios, but nearly all have shown a knack for working in clay. Perhaps as they grow and progress in their careers, they’ll turn a fond eye backward and remember how rewarding it was to touch and feel the fruits of their labor. And maybe, just maybe, a few of them will return to the art form we all know and love. Until then, bravo, students!
